Well it is 2.10am, I am a single parent of an autistic son, Adam. I have work tomorrow and Adam has school, he has a fascination with jigsaws doing adult jigsaws of 500/1000 pieces. Tonight at 8pm when I was in the kitchen, he started doing a new jigsaw, this is one he hasnt done before. He insists on studying each piece, individually. He is still less than half way through.
I have tried to sit with him and help him, but he tries to go for me if i touch the pieces and bites me. The poor child is dropping of to sleep as he sits, but will not go to bed till he finishes. I can coax him, persuade him, shout at him, nothing works, you end up, loosing half your ornaments, getting attacked and him geting upset.
He doesnt deserve this. How can i stop him when he is half way through a task. I want to go to bed, so badly.
