Head of Speech and Language Pathology for autism centre in DubaiABA Tutor Finder are searching for a Speech and Language Pathologist for a centre in Dubai that provides evidence based intervention for children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders). The not-for-profit centre provides speech and language, ABA and Occupational therapy and they are searching for an SLP to head the department. The Centre will be an advocate of alternative augmentative communication methods particularly Makaton to support individual children with communication difficulties. The SLP will provide speech-language and communication intervention through individual, small group delivery models. Opportunities for using AAC/AT and work in collaboration with the ABA and Occupational therapy departments. This position needs a capable CCC-SLP with experience in autism. The focus of the centre is to integrate clients with special needs into the public school instructional programs as well as community to the greatest extent appropriate. The SLP will assess, treat, and consult. Clients’ needs will be met through individual, group, and co-treatment settings. The program combines educational and clinical services, yielding opportunities for collaboration to improve the lives of students with autism. The centre offers an attractive benefits package and competitive salary Education: Must have successfully completed Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, with related clinical requirements. Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. PROMPT Training, Hanen Certification in ITTT & MTW programs is a plus. Familiarity with CELF, GFTA-3, PLS-5, ROSSETTI, SSI-3 required. Familiarity with the Kaufman Protocol or Neuffield valued highly.
